Becoming a Deacon
A man interested must first visit with their own pastor to establish the need and desire. Once they have met a phone call and appointment for a "pre-interview" is then established.

Following an inquiry phase process of information, application, inquiry and interviews a selection committee recommends a group of inquirants for aspirancy, to the bishop's office for approval.

Aspirancy entails a deeper study session, deeper spiritual growth and more intense testing and preparation for the candidacy phase.

Candidacy is the last phase of study prior to recommendation for ordination. Candidacy is a continued time of discernment, study and spiritual growth. After final evaluations the bishop's office receives notice of recommendations for ordinations. His office then makes selections and appointments for the order of deacon.
