Services Provided

We look to the future with what we feel is a realistic optimism. The Church has a tradition of ministry to people with disabilities, and this tradition will fuel the stronger, more broadly based efforts called for by contemporary circumstances.

The Office is funded by the Bishops Services Appeal, Diocese of Lafayette, State Contracts, and donations.

Service Provided

INTERPRETING - Facilitating communication for deaf and hearing impaired.

Affiliated Agency of the Louisiana Commission for the Deaf.

Equipment Distribution Center

• TDB/Telebraillers & Amplifier Loan for deaf, deaf-blind, hard of hearing & voice impaired.
• Outreach activities
• Training and set up in home when necessary.

ASL SIGN LANGUAGE CLASSES

Beginner 1 & 2, Intermediate 1 & 2 and Advanced Sign Language Classes 1 & 2. Workshops and interpreter training.

A quarterly newsletter is published for the deaf, deaf-blind and hearing community announcing area activities and dates.
